entourage in Hong Kong?

Michael had an opportunity to race in the Total Lubmarine Asia Pacific China Coast Regatta in Hong Kong Harbor last week.

Five bullets pretty much summed up the "top of the world" feeling as the winners sailed into harbor.

Dannecker is watching puffs off the stern as the boat disappears in the swells...

J 24 District 18 Championship Regatta

Headed back up the mountains to Lake Dillon - but this time you're seeing double... both entourage and leverage made the trip.

Our first morning started out with some sunshine and big puffs of wind.

Mike, Michael, and John enjoying one of the light air moments of the day.

Another beautiful start to the day! But look! There are some ugly clouds over those mountains... looks to be another interesting day on Dillon.

Hoster shares his enthusiasm for the weather with his new splash jacket...

Megan is still dry before the rains take over.

Jeremy is loving the crazy weather and calling puffs every 3 seconds.

Michael and John are lovin' the weather (and the beer).

Dillon Open 2007

Dillon Open 2007 (These photos are from '06). We were not fortunate to have such lovely weather... but we had a great time and finished about 5th (final results not in yet). Not too shabby for a relatively new crew to a wild weathered mountain lake!

Headed up I-70...

What a strange sensation going through the tunnel with a 2-ton boat - "to where?" asked all the drivers checking us out along the way...

Finally, in the slip at Dillon Yacht Club - gorgeous views, gorgeous weather - so far...

Day 1 was warm weather without much wind, but it was a beautiful day! Great races, too!

Mike and Jim made sure to promote the Denver Sailing Association's Governor's Cup the last weekend in September!

Our Boulder fan club made sure to make a scene or two at the luau

We were all smiles at this point in the evening (it was still early!)

The next day was a bit cooler with a chance of a marble storm...

Megan hid from those pesky marbles falling from the sky

Patrick tried to keep a smile on his face to hide the bruises from those marbles on his noggin

Here you can see Mike and Nick working their way back to the marina in the lightning and marble-sized hail storm
Wow! What a way to spend a beautiful August afternoon in Dillon, Colorado!

Patrick, Matt, Nick, and Mike all survived the storm (Megan taking the photo). We had a wonderful regatta (lightning, hail, rain, sun, and LACK of wind). Can't wait for J-24 Districts coming up in September!

entourage archives

Stardust USA 2118 from Afton, Oklahoma. Dannecker and Hoster take the trip in summer '05 to Denver.

Hard to believe it is the same boat - originally built in 1980 - rebuilt in 2006. It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (The blood and sweat came from the guys. The tears were mostly from Megan - she is not a fan of the sanding!).

Cherry Creek Marina

Fill-in crew members, Debbie and Max, help us battle the inclement weather on July 25th.

Stacy, Michelle, and Jenny warm up (with some help from their friend, Sam Adams) after battling the thunder, lightning, and pouring rain on the pond.

The dinghies... Ledger, Jason, and Nick.

Dannecker, Nick, Abby, Hoster, and Ledger enjoying Robert's fabulous Mojitos at the Cherry Creek Marina.

Sittin' Pretty.
